In Pecatonica Township, a legal dispute has emerged involving the township supervisor candidate and local clerks. Allegations have surfaced that the candidate filed petitions to run for office, which were initially contested but later deemed valid by the electoral board. Despite this, it is claimed that the township clerk removed names from the ballot without adhering to the electoral board's objection process.

The situation has resulted in three lawsuits against the township clerk concerning next week's election. The latest lawsuit includes a Motion for Emergency Mandamus to compel the clerk to reinstate the plaintiff's name on the ballot.

"Yesterday we wrote about the Pecatonica Township Electoral Board’s lawsuit against the township clerk (here)."

This legal challenge adds another layer of complexity to an already contentious election process in Pecatonica Township.
