The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against the state of Illinois, Governor JB Pritzker, the Chicago Police Department, and Cook County. The legal action challenges sanctuary policies that are in place within these jurisdictions.

The complaint was filed in the Northern District of Illinois. Officials from the Justice Department encourage individuals to review the document fully for comprehensive understanding.

"We urge you to read the complaint in its entirety."
