Evapco Midwest, based in Greenup, has contributed $2,500 to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation. The donation is intended to support patients undergoing treatment at the Regional Cancer Center. Since 2019, Evapco's annual cancer awareness shirt design contest has successfully raised over $14,500.

The contest invites Evapco employees to participate in designing shirts to raise funds and awareness for cancer. This year's winning design was created by Shauntona Suprenant and Mary Ellen Smith, both Evapco employees. Their design features a tractor inside a ribbon with the phrase "Let’s Plow Through Cancer."

Most of the donation comes from proceeds generated through shirt sales. Additionally, office employees were given the option to donate $1 or more for the privilege of wearing jeans on Wednesdays. Evapco also made contributions to increase the total donation amount.

"We love this project because it brings our employees together," said Mike Giannavola, General Manager at Evapco. "It also gives our employees the opportunity to make an impact by being part of something bigger."

For those interested in making donations to SBL, they can contact the SBL Health Foundation at 217-258-2511.
