Cassie Green, CNM, APRN, has joined SBL Women's Healthcare to provide obstetric care and support for women throughout their pregnancies. With over a decade of experience as an OB technician and labor and delivery nurse at Sarah Bush Lincoln (SBL), Green is committed to assisting families during the childbirth process.

Green's journey in the medical field began in 2002 as a pharmacy technician. She later transitioned to work as an OB technician at SBL in 2011. After earning her associate and bachelor's degrees in nursing, she served as a registered nurse in SBL Labor and Delivery from 2015. Her dedication led her to achieve a Master of Science in Nursing and midwifery certification by 2022.

In her new role, Green will help pregnant women navigate their pregnancies and post-partum periods. Additionally, she will be on-call to deliver babies under SBL’s updated labor and delivery model. Green draws on both professional expertise and personal experiences as a mother of four to provide compassionate care for women and newborns.

“Pregnancy itself is an amazing thing," said Green. "It’s incredible that women can carry their child, give birth and be back on their feet the next day.” She emphasized the importance of being there for women during this significant time in their lives: “I want to empower women because they deserve that support."

Green aims to be a supportive presence for expectant mothers, reflecting on her own childbirth experiences to enhance her care approach. “I think about my own experiences with childbirth and how those experiences could’ve gone differently," she noted.
