Orthopedist joins HSHS Medical Group Effingham team

HSHS Medical Group in Effingham has announced the addition of Dr. Thomas A. Ambrose II to its team at the Multispecialty Care facility. Dr. Ambrose, an orthopedist with over two decades of experience in chronic musculoskeletal disorders, is now accepting patients of all ages at their location on 900 W. Temple Ave., Building B., Suite 2500.

Dr. Ambrose emphasizes a personalized approach in treating his patients, focusing on helping them progress and regain functional abilities. His areas of expertise include knee and hip replacement, arthritis management, joint pain, and general orthopedic care.

Dr. Ambrose's educational background includes a medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of California Los Angeles. He completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Ohio State University Hospital and pursued further specialization through fellowships in pediatric orthopedics at Children's Hospital in Denver and orthopedic trauma with the AO/ASIF Group across Germany, Switzerland, and Los Angeles.
