Tiffany Henyard, the supervisor of Thornton Township, has filed a legal complaint against two trustees from the same township. The complaint highlights issues regarding attendance at public meetings, a matter in which Henyard herself has been involved.

The nature of the complaint is described as a "mandamus," a legal term referring to a court order that compels or prohibits specific actions according to state law. In this instance, it pertains to attendance at regular, special, and emergency meetings of the Thornton Township Board of Trustees. However, there is no state law mandating such attendance.

There is speculation that this complaint may be dismissed or withdrawn before any court proceedings occur.

Additionally, questions have arisen regarding Attorney Solomon's involvement in representing Henyard. It is noted that he has not been officially hired by the Thornton Township Board of Trustees. As such, his payment arrangements remain unclear unless Henyard covers his fees personally.
