Felony charges against Teresa Boehm dismissed in Shelby County

According to the Shelby County Docket, the felony indictment against County Board Member Teresa Boehm has been dismissed. The two-count indictment was nolle prosequi'd in court this morning, indicating that the prosecution is unwilling to pursue or will no longer prosecute the case.

Boehm faced charges following a January 25, 2024, indictment by a Shelby County Grand Jury. She was charged with violating the Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act and unlawful participation. Both charges were related to holding statutorily conflicting offices.

The case has now been officially dismissed.
