6. Action Item 2024-19: Approval of Kross Masonry & Restoration Inc. proposal for tuck-pointing and masonry repair of the original Carnegie building for a total cost of $19,390.

7. Discussion Items
A. Department of Labor - Earnings thresholds for the Executive, Administrative, and Professional exemption from minimum wage and overtime protections under the FLSA
Discussion about hourly and overtime wages vs. a raise to CCPL Director’s salary, the latter of which Chris prefers. No vote taken. This item will be put on Dec. 2024 Agenda.
B. AI Cybersecurity - Crowdstrike Falcon Complete
This antivirus program is considered top-notch, and is used by most gvmt. entities. City and EIU will soon be adopting this program, and CCPL is also considering. However, is a for-profit company and will monitor how all computers at CCPL are used. Concerns about data-mining, etc. After discussion, Board leaning toward waiting and watching how Crowdstrike works for other entities. C. Annual Fundraising Letter
Board members are invited to sign letters addressed to individuals they know. Makes a difference! D. Serving Our Public 4.0 Standards for Illinois Public Library Chapters 10-13 Review Chris says we are good with and always working on Programming (Ch. 10), Youth Services (Ch. 11), Tech (Ch. 12), and Marketing (Ch. 13).

G. At ILA, Chris learned of Print Management Software from TBS Co. Could replace our current ancient printing system. Demonstration here in Nov. Sounds promising, and we have the funds.
