Marshall Community Unit School District 2C: How many students met or exceeded expectations in ELA in 2022-23 school year?

In the 2022-23 school year, 39.5% of the students in Marshall Community Unit School District 2C passed the ELA portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 559 students in Marshall Community Unit School District 2C who took the ELA portion of the test, approximately 221 (39.5%) passed.

The percentage of Marshall Community Unit School District 2C students who met or exceeded expectations on the IAR increased by 3.5% compared to the previous school year.

Marshall Community Unit School District 2C roughly covers four schools within Clark County and has a main office in Marshall.

The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) assesses the progress of students in grades 3-8 in meeting the Illinois Learning Standards in English language arts and mathematics.

According to the 2024 Illinois Report Card, math proficiency among Illinois students in grades 3-8 remains below pre-pandemic levels, while reading performance has recovered. Meanwhile, 11th graders have experienced significant declines in both subjects, falling below pre-pandemic benchmarks.
