Edgar County attorney accused of theft from bar association

In a recent development, Edgar County Assistant State’s Attorney Lauren B. McQueen faces accusations of theft from the Champaign County Bar Association. The allegations were made in a complaint filed by the Administrator of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission on October 30, 2024.

McQueen, who became a member of the bar in 2019, has not yet responded to the complaint. Furthermore, no formal hearing date has been set for this case.
