Yesterday, the Cook County Circuit Court ruled against Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard in her lawsuit seeking a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO). The lawsuit aimed to mandate that all future meetings of the Village of Dolton Board of Trustees be held at the village hall. It also sought to prevent the Dolton Park District from hosting meetings on its property and to invalidate actions taken during those meetings.

The court's decision means that board meetings will continue to be held at the park district. This ruling follows a period where Mayor Henyard has reportedly lost influence over various aspects she once controlled, including public perception and respect from media and employees.
