Village of Noble Village Board met September 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Tresa Hundley, Carl Klingler, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to approve August 26, 2024, minutes. Seconded by Gary Ulm. All voting Aye.

Treasurer and Cash in Bank Reports as of the end of August were presented. Motion made by Ashley Pipher to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Seconded by Janet Pflaum. All voting Aye.

No guests.

Discussion held regarding the village mowing property at 136 W. Locust St. The village Attorney’s email was provided. No action taken.

The Board was provided with a copy of the Grocery Tax Ordinance and the matter will be placed on the agenda in January 2025.

It was mentioned that chickens are running around in yards which according to the Village Codebook are to be kept in coops. Also, there are roosters in the village, and they are not allowed in village limits. Letters will be mailed to residents.

Motion made by Gary Ulm to increase the water flat rate price for a ¾ and/or 1” water line connection and tap to $1,500.00. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. All voting Aye.

Mayor Kessler informed the Board that he went to court last week regarding the nuisance at 144 W. North Ave. The defendants/residents didn’t show, a fine was imposed and they have until September 24, 2024, to get the property cleaned up.

Motion made by Janet Pflaum to pay bills. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:24 p.m. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

The meeting adjourned until September 23, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
