Dolton Village Trustees have initiated legal proceedings in Cook County Circuit Court, seeking a Rule to Show Cause against Mayor Tiffany Henyard and Ronnie Burge Sr. The trustees allege that Mayor Henyard has prohibited village administrator Keith Freeman from performing his duties, which they claim is a violation of a recent temporary restraining order. Additionally, they accuse Burge Sr. of failing to return the village’s police chief badge, keys, and uniform.

The motion contends that both individuals should be held in contempt of court for these alleged violations. A hearing regarding this motion is scheduled for October 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
