County board member Teresa Boehm faces upcoming court hearings on felony charges

Shelby County Board Member Teresa Boehm's next pre-trial hearing is set for November 18, 2024. The session will be held via Zoom at 10:00 a.m. in the Shelby County Circuit Court. A motion hearing is also scheduled for December 16th at 1:00 p.m.

According to court documents, Boehm has been given an additional 14 days to file any pre-trial motions, which will be addressed during the December hearing. Furthermore, she has been granted permission to leave Illinois temporarily to visit family in Florida.

Boehm was indicted in January 2024 by a Shelby County Grand Jury. The charges include violation of the Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act and unlawful participation due to holding conflicting public offices.
