State Representative Blaine Wilhour attended the Clay County Electric Co-operative's annual meeting on August 22, 2024. During the event, he emphasized the importance of reliable and affordable energy for various sectors including families, employers, schools, and healthcare facilities.

“Thank you to Matt Conklin, CEO for the Clay County Co-operative, Inc. and the Board of Directors for your hospitality at the annual meeting last week. Access to reliable and affordable energy continues to be a top issue for families, employers, schools and healthcare facilities,” said Rep. Wilhour. “We have large supplies of natural resources in Illinois that we could be using to help keep costs down instead of forcing our suppliers to go outside of the state and pay higher costs to bring the electric to our communities.”

Matt Conklin, CEO of Clay County Electric Co-operative, Inc., welcomed State Rep. Blaine Wilhour (110th District) at the meeting held in Flora.

Rep. Blaine Wilhour was also joined by Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers at the event.
