City of Martinsville City Council met July 24.

Attendance: Mayor Herman Davidson, Clerk- Sheena Hammond, Dan Kibler-Marshall Advocate, Ryan Jones, Ryan Slater, Jordan Wilhoit, Jordon Perisho, Kevin Spencer

Meeting called to order by Mayor Davidson at 7:00 PM.

Prayer: Bob Lovell

Pledge of Allegiance: All

Public Comment: Kevin Spencer addressed the council regarding what he referred to as “tent city” on the corner of Clay and Union streets. He asked what could be done. The chief of police and attorney are collaborating on resolutions to the issue.

Motion by A. Wilhoit, 2nd by C. Perry, to approve the previous meeting minutes.

● Proposed hiring an ordinance officer.

● Quicket software has been slow rolling out.

● Needs new internet for mobile computers.

Dan Kibler

● City has been experiencing email outages due to authentication updates.

Attorney Bernardoni

● Addressed solicitors ordinance and leaving permitting permission at City Clerk level with the exception of an appeal.

Clerk

● FOIA requests received by Jordon Perisho, OpenTheBooks and Kayse Hays.

● Structure at 615 S. York St built on city easement.

--Motion by C. Davidson, 2nd by C. Perry, to close the meeting.
