Village of Montgomery Board of Trustees met May 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

I. President Matt Brolley called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

II. Roll Call

III. Public Participation

A. Proclamation for Civilian Law Enforcement Professionals Week (June 2nd – June 8th).

Trustee Marecek moved to approve Proclamation for Civilian Law Enforcement Professionals Week (June 2nd – June 8th), seconded by Trustee Jungermann.

IV. Consent Agenda

A. Minutes of the May 13th Village Board Meeting.

B. Accounts Payable through May 28th in the Amount of $2,124,365.66. C. Refuse Report for April 2024.

President Brolley stated Item D was being moved to Items for Separate Action as Item C.

Trustee Jungermann moved to approve Items A-C of the Consent Agenda, seconded by Trustee Bauman.

5 Yea. 0 No. Motion carried. Trustee Jungermann, Trustee Marecek, Trustee Brzoska, Trustee Gier and Trustee Bauman voting yea.

V. Items for Separate Action

A. Recommendation of the Montgomery Development Fund Committee – Atrevete Collaborative Kitchen Co.

Attorney Julien briefly reviewed the Atrevete application and stated the committee has recommended approval of a low-interest loan for this business. The first item is approval of the committee’s recommendation. The following item is actual approval of the agreement with the Village in standard format with personal guarantees of the applicants with a 10-year term.

Trustee Marecek moved to approve Recommendation of the Montgomery Development Fund Committee – Atrevete Collaborative Kitchen Co, seconded by Trustee Brzoska.

5 Yea. 0 No. Motion carried. Trustee Marecek, Trustee Brzoska, Trustee Gier, Trustee Bauman and Trustee Jungermann voting yea.

B. Resolution 2024-019 Authorizing A Low Interest Loan Montgomery Development Fund (Atrevete Collaborative Kitchen Company).

Trustee Gier moved to approve Resolution 2024-019 Authorizing A Low Interest Loan Montgomery Development Fund (Atrevete Collaborative Kitchen Company), seconded by Trustee Marecek.

5 Yea. 0 No. Motion carried. Trustee Gier, Trustee Bauman, Trustee Jungermann, Trustee Marecek and Trustee Brzoska voting yea.

C. Request for Liquor License Class J and Waiver of Temporary Liquor License Fee for the Montgomery Foundation for Montgomery Fest.

Trustee Bauman moved to approve Request for Liquor License Class J and Waiver of Temporary Liquor License Fee for the Montgomery Foundation for Montgomery Fest, seconded by Trustee Marecek.

4 Yea. 0 No. Motion carried. Trustee Bauman, Trustee Jungermann, Trustee Marecek and Trustee Gier voting yea. Trustee Brzoska abstaining.

Trustee Marecek announced that planning of the bridge flowers has been moved to June 1st. Trustee Brzoska stated the HPC is hosting a Downtown Walking Tour at 10:00 a.m on June 22nd.
