Rep. Halbrook, along with several House Republican colleagues, expressed support for women's rights at the Capitol today. They pledged their backing for legislation aimed at safeguarding women's sports and personal spaces.

The lawmakers are co-sponsoring House Bill 5830, which seeks to clearly define the terms "woman", "man", "male" and "female" in law. The aim of this bill is to prevent judges or others from unilaterally redefining these terms to mean "anyone identifying as a female". This move could potentially allow biological males access to women’s locker rooms, restrooms, dormitories, and other similar spaces.

“This legislation is about protecting women’s safety, privacy, and their athletic achievements,” stated Rep. Halbrook.
