Village of Noble Village Board met April 8.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Karen Totten, Tresa Hundley, Carl Klingler, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher. Guest Mike Bridges.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Janet Pflaum to approve March 25, 2024, minutes. Seconded by Ahsley Pipher. All voting Aye.

Treasurer and Cash in Bank reports as of the end of March were presented. Motion made by Ashley Pipher to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

Mike Bridges presented Estimate of Maintenance for MFT program to oil and chip all North and South Streets in the Village at total estimate of $54,543.95. Mike mentioned Second Street being tilled up/reshaped and was told a cost would be $10,000.00 which is included in the $54,543.95. Mike talked to Woody Heuerman and he thought the street could be repatched and sealed at a cost of $6,000.00 and then get Noble Township to touch it up by blading. Trustee Ulm had already talked to Tony Steber. Going with this option would be approximately $51,000.00 versus the $54,543.95. Motion made by Carl Klingler to approve an Estimate of Maintenance for oil and chipping North and South streets, patching and sealing Second St. at a cost of approximately $51,000.0 (MFT $35,000.00 and General $16,000.00). Seconded by Ashley Pipher. Roll Call Vote Taken, All voting Aye.

The Trustees were asked to turn in new projects for the new fiscal budget to Treasurer and/or Mayor.

Flushing hydrants will be done on April 9 & 10.

Spring Cleanup in village is scheduled for April 24.

Car Show will be held in Noble Park on May 4 (rain date May 11).

Noble wide garage sales will be held on May 18.

Mayor Kessler gave an update on the park restroom and mentioned low water pressure in the north bathroom, water fountain outside has a plug in drain and part has been ordered for the urinal in south bathroom, 2 of the 4 cameras are up. A diaper changing station has been placed in the south bathroom.

The Cemetery Committee scheduled a committee meeting on April 10, 2024 with Mike Bridges to look at drainage in Noble Cemetery.

Trustee Summers inquired about the status of the siren and was told the contract has been signed and half the estimate will be paid out.

Motion made by Carl Klingler to pay bills. Seconded by Gary Ulm. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

The meeting adjourned until April 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
