Illinois, May 1, 2024 - Last year, Rep. Miller expressed his concerns over the Democrats' decision to end the Invest in Kids Scholarship Program, resulting in about 10,000 low-income children losing their opportunity for quality education. In a statement, Rep. Miller emphasized, "Last year, Democrats refused to support the Invest in Kids Scholarship Program. As a result, about 10,000 low-income children lost their opportunity for quality education."

Taking a stand for the educational rights of low-income families, Rep. Miller stated, "I’m fighting to bring back school choice to Illinois. Other states are expanding their school choice programs while Illinois denies low-income families from having a choice." The impact of the decision to end the scholarship fund has been significant, with thousands of students and families statewide feeling the effects.

The issue has sparked a debate on the importance of providing options for quality education to all children, regardless of their economic background. Rep. Miller's efforts to reinstate the Invest in Kids Scholarship Program highlight the need for accessible educational opportunities for low-income families in Illinois.
