The special meeting of the Board of Education of Neoga Community Unit School District #3 was held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024 in the Neoga Jr./Sr. High School Library.
ROLL CALL: Present: Shawn Finney, Gerald Hanfland, Michelle Sheehan, Brian Titus, Angie Worman, Chuck Campbell
Absent: Don Strohl
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
RECEPTION OF GUESTS AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS: The board welcomed the following guest to participate in the public communications portion of the meeting
Aimee Wetenkamp, David Wetenkamp, Charlotte Wetenkamp, Doug Jackson, Amber Miller, Bethany Finney, Lora Lawson-Cline, Janice Monroe, Lillian Jirsa, Jemma Lawyer, Graydon Mendenhall, Katie Cox, Zaleah Cooper, Ripley Peterson, Maria Andres, Sasha Coco, Emma Shuemaker,
The guest comments were in support of the district choral director, Aimee Wetenkamp. Those in attendance have had positive interaction with Ms. Wetenkamp and believe she has been a strong influence on the choral and musical programs. Some guest's comments were critical of district administration.
CLOSED SESSION FOR EXCEPTION 1, THE EMPLOYMENT COMENSATION, DISCIPLINE, PERFORMANCE, OR DISMISSAL OF SPECIFIC EMPLOYEES OF THE PUBLIC BODY: Motion by Sheehan, seconded by Hanfland to go in closed session at 7:15 pm for closed session for exception 1, the employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body.
VOTE: Yea: Finney, Hanfland, Sheehan, Titus, Worman, Campbell
The Board returned from closed session at 8:02 p.m.
ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NON-REEMPLOYMENT OF FULL- TIME, NON-TENURED TEACHER NOT IN LAST YEAR OF PROBATIONARY SERVICE: Motion by Titus, seconded by Hanfland to adopt resolution authorizing non- reemployment of full-time, non-tenured teacher not in last year of probationary service to Aimee Wetenkamp.
VOTE: Yea: Hanfland, Sheehan, Titus, Worman, Finney, Campbell

ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Worman, seconded by Titus to adjourn the meeting at 8:03 p.m. Motion carried.
