Village of Noble Village Board met Feb. 12.

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Karen Totten, Tresa Hundley, Carl Klingler, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher. Absent Paul Summers. Guest Misael Lazaro

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Carl Klingler to approve January 22, 2024, minutes. Seconded by Janet Pflaum. All voting Aye.

Treasurer and Cash in Bank reports as of the end of January were presented. Treasurer Totten informed the Board that she rolled a CD from the Sewer fund account into a 9 month CD at 5% interest. Motion made by Janet Pflaum to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Seconded by Carl Klingler. All voting Aye.

Mr. Lazaro is a resident at 261 W. Cherry St. and is making an additional parking space at his residence. He inquired what type of culvert would be required and was told a rolled culvert at a minimum 16 gauge.

The roll off dumpsters sitting in the Village of Noble parking lot are for out-of-town Republic customers due to the roads being posted.

Village Hall will be closed Monday, February 19 for President’s Day.

Noble Lions Club breakfast will be held February 24 (7am-11:30am).

The Richland County Clerk’s office will have early voting held at the Noble Lions Club on March 5 from 4 to 5:30. The primary Election will be on Tuesday, March 19.

Mayor Kessler mentioned cameras for the park and previously was told Olney provided information on a camera system at an approximate cost of $1,000.00. Mayor Kessler mentioned placing signs up with the cameras. Trustee Pipher mentioned contacting Dusty Johnson that installs cameras. This matter will be placed on the next agenda.

Mayor Kessler mentioned porta pots and wash stations for upcoming events. He thought with the new restroom in the park there would be no need for porta pots. He also mentioned instead of renting wash stations possibly purchasing one. This matter will be placed on the next agenda.

A nuisance with vehicles at 121 W. South Ave. was mentioned and since a couple of vehicles had been moved the matter was extended until the next meeting.

Motion made by Carl Klingler to pay bills. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carl Klingler to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 p.m. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

The meeting adjourned until February 26, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
