I recently had the opportunity to visit Villa Grove CUSD 302 and engage with the students and staff. It was a delightful experience, and I am grateful to Sara Jones, Dr. Carol Munson, and Shane Phebus for extending their warm welcome to me at this exceptional school.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of speaking to the students about various topics, including the Preamble of the Constitution and The Tytler Cycle. The students at Villa Grove CUSD 302 displayed an impressive level of intelligence and enthusiasm, making our discussions both engaging and insightful.
One of the topics that captured our attention was politics. We had meaningful conversations about the significance of balanced budgets and the importance of preserving values that benefit communities. It was inspiring to witness the students' genuine interest in these matters and their desire to understand the impact of political decisions on society.
In addition to discussing politics, I emphasized to the students the value of cultivating good habits and taking control of what they can influence in their lives.
