Cumberland County schools welcomed 1,471 students in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

This is a decrease of 1.4% from the previous school year.

Cumberland County had the 18th lowest enrollment numbers in the state.

According to the data, the student body comprised of 51.2% boys, and 48.8% girls.

Most of the students enrolled in the county were white, representing 95.1% of its student body.

Within Cumberland County, Cumberland Elementary School had the highest enrollment in the school year, welcoming 410 students.
