State Representative Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City) is spearheading a holiday food drive in an effort to assist families in need. The program aims to encourage donations to local food pantries and church food banks across eight counties in the 110th District.

"There are a good number of programs around our area that help families in need," said Rep. Blaine Wilhour. "I encourage everyone to donate if they are able and help as many families and seniors on fixed incomes as we can."

The initiative seeks not only non-perishable food items but also financial contributions to ensure that the food banks can purchase items they may be running low on. One such program is the Food Pantry located at the Salem Community Activities Center in Marion County, which is supported by the Salem Ministerial Alliance.

Apart from the Food Pantry, many churches and non-profit groups in the area also collect food items for those in need, particularly during the Christmas season. By rallying the community together, Rep. Wilhour hopes to make a significant impact and provide assistance to as many families as possible.
