Village of Noble Village Board met Oct. 23.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Tresa Hundley, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher. Absent Carl Klingler.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Ashley Pipher to approve October 10, 2023, minutes. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

Leaf Collection in village limits will begin and be picked up on Mondays thru Thursdays 8AM 3PM. Once residents have their leaves ready, they can call the village hall.

Noble Lions Club Halloween parade in Noble Park will be held on Friday, October 27; cakewalk 6:30p.m., parade 7p.m. Trick or Treat night in Noble Saturday, October 28 6pm.-8pm.

The Terry Bruce West Richland Center has a library available on Tuesdays & Thursdays 8AM - 4pm.

The Noble Village Hall will be closed Friday, November 10 in observance of Veteran’s Day. The Tax Levy estimate will be provided at the next meeting.

The nuisance property (Chapman – 144 W. North Ave.) that is scheduled for court tomorrow will be continued to allow the individuals more time to fix the porch, pick up debris, etc.

Trustee O’Dell inquired about the status of the Bass property on W. Locust St. and was told nothing additional had been done but will touch base with the attorney.

Speed bumps and signs have been placed in the alley behind Cardinal Mound.

Former Mayor Richard Clark ordered the 150th books and sent a request for reimbursement. Matter tabled until next meeting.

Mayor Kessler mentioned quotes came into the village hall to cut down the tree on the property at 130 Oak St. Matter tabled until next meeting.

Motion made by Gary Ulm to approve giving Mayor Kessler the authority to sign paperwork for the loan/grant with IEPA for the sewer lagoon. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. Roll Call Vote Taken, All voting Aye.

Mayor Kessler mentioned he attended a workshop for grant writing.

Motion made by Ashley Pipher to pay bills. Seconded by Janet Pflaum. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:14 p.m. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

The meeting adjourned until November 13, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
