Moulton Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Shelby County schools, welcoming 415 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Out of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.3% of them were boys, and 48.7% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 94.7% of the student body at Moulton Elementary School.

Among the 14 schools in Shelby County, Shelbyville High School ranked second in enrollment with 351 students, while Main Street Elementary School welcomed 349 students to be ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.

Moulton Elementary School is a part of Shelbyville Community Unit School District 4, which generally encompasses schools within Shelby County with its main office in Shelbyville.

In the previous school year, Moulton Elementary School had the highest number of students among Shelby County schools.
