Canadian Pacific's Holiday Train is set to make a return to Illinois this holiday season, with four stops scheduled. The highly anticipated tradition will feature a dazzling light display, live music, and even a visit from Santa Claus.
The CPKC Holiday Train will embark on its tour of Canada and the United States starting on November 20 and will continue spreading holiday cheer until December 19. The first stop in Illinois is scheduled for Saturday, November 25, in Bensenville. This will be followed by stops in Pingree Grove on November 26, Byron also on November 26, and Gurnee on December 3.
At each stop on the tour, attendees will be treated to 30 minutes of live musical performances by renowned artists. Seaforth and Kiesza are set to grace the stage at the first three stops, while Tenille Townes and Breland will entertain the crowd in Gurnee.
The annual CPKC Holiday Train tour serves as a fundraiser for food banks in the United States and Canada. Donations are collected for local charities, and a contribution is made by CPKC to a local food pantry at each stop. The train, adorned with festive decorations, serves as a stage for these talented musicians to perform free concerts.
Since its inception in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has made a tremendous impact, raising over $22.5 million and collecting more than five million pounds of food for community food banks across North America.
Seaforth, the country music duo from Australia, and Kiesza, the Canadian singer-songwriter, will bring their dynamic talents to the Illinois stops. Tenille Townes, the Canadian country music singer, and Breland, the American singer, songwriter, and record producer known for his unique blend of country rap, R&B, gospel, and soul music, will also captivate the audience with their performances.
The CPKC Holiday Train is a beloved tradition that brings joy and holiday spirit to communities across North America. It is an opportunity for families and friends to come together, enjoy live music, and contribute to a worthy cause. So mark your calendars and join the festivities as the Holiday Train makes its way through Illinois, spreading holiday cheer and making a difference in the lives of those in need.
