State Sen. Chapin Rose of the Illinois General Assembly has criticized Gov. J.B. Pritzker for prioritizing national issues over local constituents' problems in a statement issued on Nov 1st.

"We’re here today to THINK Illinois. As you know, over the last several weeks, the governor has been out gallivanting across the country talking about Think Big America, but here in Illinois, our constituents are hurting", said Rose.

Rose also expressed that he believes the state is failing its citizens due to administrative negligence and general failure. "Rather than thinking about America, governor, you should be here joining us and thinking about Illinois and how to solve our constituents’ problems", continued Rose.

The senator urged Governor Pritzker to stop traveling nationwide and focus his efforts on serving their mutual constituents - the taxpaying citizens of their home state of Illinois.

Sen. Chapin Rose represents the 51st District. He’s been in the Senate since 2013 and previously served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2003 until 2012. He holds prominent positions on several committees including minority spokesperson for Senate Appropriations Committee.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker launched his nonprofit, Think Big America, in Oct., inspired by his Think Big campaign theme during his gubernatorial run in 2018.

The main objective of Think Big America is to promote ballot measures preserving abortion rights with Desirée Rogers, Margaret Croke, and Michelle Harris among its board members.
