Village of Noble Village Council met June 12.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Karen Totten, Tresa Hundley, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher. Remote: Carl Klingler.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to approve May 22, 2023, minutes. Seconded by Gary Ulm. All voting Aye.

Treasurer and Cash in Bank reports as of end of May were presented. Motion made by Janet Pflaum to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Gary Ulm to accept the resignation of Jana Baker from the Village Board. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. Roll Call Vote Taken, All voting Aye.

Motion made by Paul Summers to accept Mayor Kessler’s appointment of Ashley Pipher to the Village Board. Seconded by Janet Pflaum. Roll Call Vote Taken, All voting Aye. Mayor Kessler gave Ashley Pipher the Oath of Office to appoint her as Trustee.

The Freedom Festival will be held on Saturday July 1st in Noble Park.

The Village of Noble uses CourtMoney for online water payments. The link is on the village website and water bills. The Village is asking the water customers to be careful using other sites as they may or may not be legit. The Village was notified that a customer used a different service, and the Village never received the payment.

A Finance Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14 at 6p.m. to review the budget for the new fiscal year.

A pre-bid meeting for the building of the new park bathrooms is scheduled on June 22 at 11AM and then the bid opening will be held on June 29 at 11AM both will be held at the Noble Village Hall.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to approve the Committees remaining the same except for replacing Jana Baker with Ashley Pipher on the Sewer, Finance and Personnel Committees. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Trustee Um mentioned a complaint regarding a ditch at the north end of Judy St. Mayor Kessler will look at it.

Trustee Ulm mentioned the ditch work on E. South had not been taken care of yet.

Mayor Kessler informed the board that he had received 3 complaints earlier today and he would take care of them Wednesday when he is in the office.

Mayor Kessler asked Trustee Ulm about the status of Brad Fryburger and was told should be sometime in June.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to pay bills. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:16 p.m. Seconded by Janet Pflaum. All voting Aye.

The meeting adjourned until June 26, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
