Q4 2022 Recap: 8 parolees from Crawford County convicted of drug crimes set for release

There were eight offenders convicted of drug crimes living in Crawford County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The data shows six men and two women were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for drug crimes was 37. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced in 2021, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man sentenced in 2021.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Eric Ogle. He was convicted in 2021 when he was 53 years old. He is now 56.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of drug crimes were paroled during the fourth quarter of 2022 in each Illinois county.
