Q4 2021 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Effingham County?

There were 14 offenders living in Effingham County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows 11 men and three women were released in Effingham County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a crime against justice in 2021, and the oldest was a 53-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2020.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Morris A. Joseph. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017 when he was 47 years old. He is now 53.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2021 in each Effingham County.
