Senior closes with rounds of 74 and 76

Eastern Illinois played its second tournament of the spring season as the Panthers played at the 54-hole Daytona Beach Spring Invite hosted by Eastern Kentucky.
 
Ben Lanman was the Panthers top finisher in the event played at the LPGA International Hills Course.  Lanman was tied for 63rd closing with a Monday afternoon round of 74 and then a round of 76 on Tuesday.  He would card a 54-hole total of 230.
 
Pierce Allord opened as EIU's leader after the opening 18-holes with a round of 71.  He would close with rounds of 82 and 81, falling to a tie for 82nd with a total of 234.
 
Keegan Gowin was EIU's second finisher in a tie for 77th with a 54-hole total of 233.  Gowin shot 74 in the opening round followed by a round of 76.  He closed out play on Tuesday with a round of 83.
 
Preston Smith had his best round in the final 18 holes with a 79.  He placed 107th with a score of 244.
 
Grant Mascal was EIU's fifth scored golfer with a total of 269 placing 114th. 
 
Embry-Riddle (Florida) was the team champion.  EIU placed 17th in the tournament. 

Ryan Hart from Florida was the individual medalist playing as an individual in the event.
