Village of Noble Village Board met Jan. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Tresa Hundley, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Jana Baker. Remote: Carl Klingler. Absent Brad Kessler and Karen Totten.

Motion made by Paul Summers to appoint Gary Ulm as President Pro-Tem in the absence of Mayor Kessler. Seconded by Jana Baker. All voting Aye.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Janet Pflaum to approve December 12, 2022, minutes with the correction that Trustee O’Dell was absent. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

Treasurer and Cash in Bank reports as of end of December were presented. Trustee Ulm inquired about an amount from MFT/Rebuild of $14,842.96 and was told that it was for Larry Heuerman for oil and chipping streets. Trustee O’Dell inquired about a negative figure from Water and was told it was for a water account billed but not paid in same month. Motion made by Jana Baker to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

The Village Hall will be closed Monday, January 16 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Board members were provided the Statement of Economic Interest and asked to complete and return.

Board was informed that the waterline project on S. First St. was complete.

Trustee Ulm inquired about the status of the Dollar General Store and was told a closing date for the land has not been given to the Village.

Board was provided with an email and letter from Attorney, Bart Zuber for the nuisance situation on W. North Ave. Matter will be discussed at the next meeting.

Motion made by Jana Baker to pay bills. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Paul Summers to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 p.m. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

Meeting adjourned until January 23, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
