Building: We are still waiting on DHM to finish the repairs of our heat pump. Clow Control has finished their work and Chris now has control over the building’s temperature. The building had another fire alarm sensor go bad. Replacement parts are not available so the system was rewired to not have that sensor anymore.
Operations: Chris has made offers to 3 candidates—all of which accepted. These incoming three will fill the roles of the three outgoing EIU students. The Library has once again partnered with our local VFW for holiday cards with veterans. Biblio+ is officially live and the Library has had 61 sign up so far.
Finances: The annual fundraising letter had raised $1,700 as of 11/30 and $3,500 as of the meeting. The Library received an additional $13K in PPRT and $57K in property taxes.
6. Discussion Items
A. Library Board Committees
Chris created a draft of how the Committees can be modified. The Board would like to see additional changes. Chris will continue to work on the Committee descriptions and bring them back to the Board for the January meeting.
B. Serving Our Public 4.0 Standards for Illinois Public Library Chapters 11-13 & Appendices Review
C. Next Board Meeting – Monday, January 9, 2023 at 6:30PM.
