City of Arcola City Council met Dec. 5.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Garza called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Alderpersons Foran, Hensley, Smith, Garza and Budd. Alderman Becerra was not present. City Administrator Wagoner, Treasurer Anderson and Attorney Bequette were also present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderman Foran led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENT There was none.
APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 21, 2022 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderman Hensley moved to approve the November 21, 2022 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 19, 2022 THROUGH DECEMBER 02, 2022 BILLS Alderman Foran moved to approve the November 19, 2022 – December 02, 2022 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderman Garza. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 2022 Alderman Foran moved to approve the Treasurer’s report for November 2022 and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE NOVEMBER ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT The Zoning Officer reported no permits issued in the month of November.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 22-S-10, AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ANNUAL LEVY Alderman Budd moved to approve Ordinance No. 22-S-10 in amount of $297,200. Alderman Garza seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE ABATEMENT OF TAXES FOR GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS – 2012 SERIES ($50,750) Alderman Budd moved to approve Abatement of Taxes for General Obligation Bonds – 2012 Series in amount of $50,750. Alderman Hensley seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE ABATEMENT OF TAXES FOR GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS – 2021 SERIES ($115,110) Alderman Garza moved to approve Abatement of Taxes for General Obligation Bonds – 2021 Series in amount of $115,110. Alderman Foran seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE BONUS FOR FULL AND PART-TIME EMPLOYEES Alderman Hensley moved to approve holiday bonus for full and part-time employees in amounts of $200 net for full- time; $100 net for part-time; $50 for part-time over 50 hours but under 249 hours. Alderman Budd seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Alderman Foran Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Hensley Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Smith Reported the Employee Relations Committee met prior to this meeting and discussed salary increases for employees.
Alderman Garza Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Budd Had nothing at this time.
As this concluded the business of the meeting Alderman Hensley moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Budd. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
