A public hearing before the City Council of the City of Flora, Clay County, Illinois will be held on the 6th day of February at 4:15 P.M. in the Council Chamber of the Flora City Hall, 131 E. 2nd Street, Flora, Illinois to consider the Petition of SMIFCO, INC. (Owner/Seller) and Hubbard Enterprises, LLC (Purchaser) requesting a variance from the parking space requirement which is currently fifty-four (54) parking spaces based upon Chapter 17 of the zoning ordinances and reduce the number of required parking spaces to forty-five (45) parking spaces located at 847 W. North Ave.  Zoned C-2 Neighborhood Commercial District.

Said real estate is located in District C-2 at 847 W. North Ave., Flora, Illinois and is legally described as follows:

          Lot Number Fourteen (14) less and excepting therefrom 35 feet

          Of even width off the East side thereof; also Lots Number Fifteen

          (15), Sixteen (16) Seventeen (17), Eighteen (18), Nineteen (19),

          Twenty (20) and Twenty-One (21) in Randolph Smith’s Addition

          and all that part of a vacated alley as vacated by the City Council

          of the City of Flora in Ordinance No. 23-3424.               

The Petition and applicable map are accessible for examination by interested parties at the office of the City Clerk (more specifically, Building & Zoning Department) at the City Hall Building during regular office hours.
