DISCUSSION:

ROBERT MORRIS:

Swore in Brice Stratton as the Water Commissioner.

LUCAS KNIGHT (KNIGHT INSURANCE):

Health Alliance, you are on the Platinum Plan, HMO 500 Platinum Plan. We voted years ago to give your employees the best plan. You have 3 employees on the policy. The plan you have right now has a lot of benefits. They don’t even offer the plan you have now. The City of Chrisman has been grandfathered in, if you ever get out of it, you’ll never get back in.

The plan from last year went up 5.48% for health insurance. I have zero control over it. Haddix- The big problem that we run into is not having family on there.

BID FOR 221 S. ILLINOIS ST:

We have a bid for $1000, which does not meet what our minimum bid spec was. Crispin- The minimum was $5,000, wasn’t it? Haddix- Lets lower the minimum and try one more time. I know we are not going to recover what we have in it. Crispin- What do you want to set it at? Haddix- $2,500. Chaney- When do you want to open bids? Haddix- a month from now and I would like to put a small add in both papers.

COMMISSIONER CRISPIN:

I was approached about the drainage problem that we still have that runs through town. The idea that was brought to me was, putting a box culvert in to have more surface area for the water to run through. We fixed the problem that crosses the road into the pasture. Now we need to try and get it through that culvert and into the other one. Haddix- My biggest fear that the one up there in the subdivision, goes into the creek that goes out of town. When the creek gets high nothing drains off. Crispin-I know what you’re saying but this go around, ice got in front of that 12-inch culvert and didn’t drain. So, if we have a 3-foot culvert it will have more area.

COMMISSIONER CHANEY:

We put together a water report based on revenue and expenses. Hopefully we will have some better information for Commissioner Stratton that next time around.

COMMISSIONER HADDIX:

We are looking into getting internet and phone out at the plant so he can get online and download study materials. He’s been told a lot of that stuff they don’t print anymore it’s all online now. Crispin-He’s trying for a C right? Haddix- D and then he’s going to try and go for the C. He’s still working on the sewer test.

ADJOURNMENT:

Haddix Moved And Crispin Seconded For Adjournment At 7:38 P.M. Voting Aye On The Matter Were All Members Present. Voting Nay None. Motion Carried.
