Report: Villa Grove School District spent $9,637 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Villa Grove Community Unit School District 302 was up 16.5 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Douglas County school district spent $8,273 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,637 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 666 to 632 students over the same period.

Villa Grove's spending in 2019-20 was 33.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
