Report: Marshall School District spent $8,682 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Marshall Community Unit School District 2C was up 4.4 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Clark County school district spent $8,313 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $8,682 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,421 to 1,262 students over the same period.

Marshall's spending in 2019-20 was 40.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
