Report: Kansas School District spent $11,745 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Kansas Community Unit School District 3 was up 3.3 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Edgar County school district spent $11,371 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,745 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 201 to 190 students over the same period.

Kansas's spending in 2019-20 was 19 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
