Report: North Clay School District spent $10,682 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at North Clay Community Unit School District 25 was up 35.2 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Clay County school district spent $7,901 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,682 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 645 to 589 students over the same period.

North Clay's spending in 2019-20 was 26.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
