Q2 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Edgar County?

There were four offenders living in Edgar County released on parole during the second quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows all of the released offenders in Edgar County were men. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 28-year-old man sentenced for a crime against justice in 2020, and the oldest was a 46-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2020.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Jason Head. He was convicted of a property crime in 2020 when he was 44 years old. He is now 46.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2021 in each Edgar County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
