Q1 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Lawrence County?

There were five offenders living in Lawrence County released on parole during the first quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows all of the released offenders in Lawrence County were men. The median age of the parolees was 45. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2020, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2020.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Randy L. Reynolds. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2019 when he was 53 years old. He is now 56.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2021 in each Lawrence County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
