Q1 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Coles County?

There were 16 offenders living in Coles County released on parole during the first quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows 12 men and four women were released in Coles County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2021, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2020.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Travis M. Gregg. He was convicted of homicide in 2013 when he was 29 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2021 in each Coles County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
