State Rep. Chris Miller (R-Oakland) went on Rep. Brad Halbrook’s (R-Shelbyville) recent video conference on Facebook to share his thoughts on Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s new budget plan.
Miller said that the governor’s plan is like a fantasy movie where nothing is realistic nor pragmatic.
Miller dug deeper and said that Pritzker’s actions as governor are enough provocation for the people of the state to remove him from his position. Miller said that Pritzker has cost the state many jobs, failed many businesses, disappointed many veterans and failed employees.
The state representative even accused Pritzker of constantly lying to his constituents. He said, “You can tell the governor is lying to you when his lips are moving.”
Miller said that the worst transgression that Pritzker committed was to raise the taxes of employers. He said, “The biggest insult is he wants to raise taxes on the job creators by a minimum of a billion dollars. And one thing that I think that I hope that some of my Republican colleagues would remember and learn from their experience is that you can never trust a Democrat when it comes to tax increases.”
