Robinson FD responds to 35 fires in 2018

Robinson Fire District responded to 77 calls in 2018 - 9.4 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Robinson included 35 fires - 15 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 16 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $335,750 in fire loss - or about $9,593 per fire.

The department also received 40 false calls.

The Robinson Fire District had an annual budget of $1,278,873 in 2018.

The Robinson FPD Firefighters Pension Fund, which has nine active employees and nine retired or inactive employees, was $118,293 in debt as of April 2017, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $2,629 for every fire in 2017.
