Dieterich Fire Protection District responded to 16 calls in 2018 - 15.8 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Dieterich included 11 fires - three structure fires, two vehicle fires and six other fires.

In all, the department saw $334,000 in fire loss - or about $30,364 per fire.

The department also received five false calls.

The Dieterich Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $191,977 in 2018.
