Graduates earn 518 degrees, certificates from Olney Central College

About 45.4 percent of the 518 degrees and certificates handed out by Olney Central College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Olney conferred 124 certificates and 111 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 108 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 93 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 52 certificates in licensed practical/vocational nurse training.

The college enrolled 1,112 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
