Analysis: Olney pays $13.87 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Olney Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 93.3 percent of the $258,706 the Olney Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $13.87 for every $1 from pension members, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Olney contributed $241,314 to the fund, which saw a $96,737 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $17,392, or 6.7 percent, in 2018.
